In 1994 my book, “Hell on Wheels,” was published by Gary Hustwit at Rockpress. A few years later, I was reading the book “Our Band Could Be Your Life” by Michael Azerrad (published 2001). While reading the chapter on the Minutemen, I notice a quote from Watt from my book! I was so stoked!
Of course, Michael Azerrad, being a professional author, sought permission to use the quote from my publisher … And my book appears in his bibliography. Yes, it SHOULD appear in the bibliography, but it felt like it legitimized my book being listed in Our Band Could Be Your Life.
I’ve been looking for a way to contact Michael Azerrad to let him know that a new version of the book is coming out (see “dates” below). If anyone has a contact for Mr. Azerrad please let me know. I want to send him a book!
